Research
In addition to providing both comprehensive
medical care and expertise with regards to endoscopic procedures,
Gastroenterology Associates of Southeastern Virginia also offers opportunities
to participate in clinical research trials. Our principal investigator,
Bruce Waldholtz, M.D., along with our other physicians, review available
protocols and discuss future opportunities to bring into the practice.
Since 2007, our physicians have participated in clinical research
trials involving:
• Ulcerative Colitis
• Crohn’s Disease
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Clinical research trials sometimes offer potential benefits, such
as free medication and check-ups. If we have an ongoing trial that
might be of interest to you, please be sure to speak with your physician
to see if you are eligible to participate.
